Missionaries often use the phrase, “persons of peace.”  It is a refernce to a person they encounter in a neighborhood or city who has friends or family who might be open to the gospel.

In the beginning of Isaiah 40, we find the Lord revealing that one day the Person of Peace would come.  It is a Psalm of comfort.  It is a reminder that regardless of what we have done He still holds us by His hands.

But the versees that give me such peace are found in Isaiah 40:10-11.  “Behold, the Lord comes with His might…”  I understand based on Scripture that He is a mighty and powerful God.  But at the same He is so gentle and tender with me.  “He will tend His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs in His arms…”

Whatever situation you are walking through where you feel all alone, He is strong and gentle and wants to carry you.  He is the Person of Peace!
