There are days when listening seems to be easy. Yet there are seasons of our lives when listening is a challenge. Most often times, listening is a challenge when life is not turning out like we had hoped.
In Luke 1:5-25, we find Zechariah and Elizabeth. They have have prayed for decades for a child and it seems God had not heard their prayer. As a result, Zechariah’s confidence in the Lord is very low.
Ever been there? Prayed and prayed and prayed for God to do work and move and it yet seems as though He is silent.
Through a visit and a message from the Gabriel the angel, Zechariah is reminded he needs to simply listen and lean into God rather than pull away from Him.
Maybe God is calling you to lean into Him today? He is coming and He is here!
