There is something incredibly simple about this time of year. Yes, we can all become focused on shopping and gifts and gatherings. But the season of Christmas is simple. Jesus came for us so we could be whole again.
Isaiah 58:6-14 is a powerful reminder that the hope of Christ bursts through the desperate and broken places of our lives and restores us. He is exactly the One which our soul longs.
But…
…I get filled on other things. The prophet, Isaiah, calls us to long… to yearn for God alone like no other.
