The prophet, Isaiah, as the mouthpiece of God said, “And the Lord said: ‘Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men,…'” (Isaiah 29:13)
God is saying true worship (John 4:21-24) doesn’t consist of the tradition of worship we learn by doing it over and over and over again. True worship happens out of an authentic (not fake) heart of obedience before the Lord. I pray our hearts will unite in worship this Sunday as we gather with our Salem family.
